RAW:Washington DC presents Holiday RAWk

On December 16th, we had the opportunity to showcase YS on the runway for the first time. This gave us the opportunity to show some of the sample pieces we've been working on for Spring 2016. The event was held at The Howard Theatre, DC. We're very grateful for RAW DC for providing the platform and also grateful for the amazing team below..

Yetunde Sarumi x Be. Bangles

This weekend, I had an opportunity to shoot some of my collection with my talented friend, Jen Eun, and a company called Be. Bangles

Be. Bangles are simple and beautiful stainless steel bangles that are engraved with powerful sayings like "She Believed She Could So She Did", "Live What You Love", and so on. Their bangles are a daily reminder of how great and wonderful you are, and that no matter what you're going through, "You got this".

Here is my favorite part.... Even though these bangles are made to encourage and empower women, they also help to fund a day of education for a girl is Africa so that she can learn to empower herself as well. Isn't that amazing? Check out and support Be. Bangles' crowdfunding campaign HERE so you too can help change the world.

Be. Bangles partners with an organization called One Girl to give girls in Uganda and Sierra Leone access to education. Each bangle sold can fund a day of education in some of the poorest countries in the world.

Zuvaa Pop Up Shop DC

About a month ago we took part in our very first Pop Up Shop, which was hosted by Zuvaa. It was so amazing that we can't wait to do it again. We loved meeting some of you ladies that have been following us on instagram and have always loved our collection. And we absolutely loved meeting and introducing ourselves to our new customers. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves and we can't wait to meet you all again at our next event.
